Welcome to the Thatch Cottage a charming little cottage  on the Main Ring of Kerry Route just 2km from Cahersiveen town on the Killarney side and sitting opposite the famous Cnoc an Tobair Mountain with beautiful scenery, what better way to enjoy a morning or afternoon coffee, Lunch or Dinner while absorbing these peaceful surroundings?

 This instantly recognisable cottage with its beautiful thatched roof,  is family run which is a distinct attribute as we are always present to ensure quality service to our customers.
With almost 20 years Hospitality Industry experience our main aim is to offer our customers the best Food & Beverage service, to always exceed customer expectations and make them feel special.

Our Restaurant is divided into four sections making it very versatile for different kinds of Events or Functions. For small  weddings to the stand up informal buffet , intimate dining for 10 people, or corporate entertainment/presentations etc. The Thatch Cottage can be hired out exclusively for private parties subject to availability at no extra cost. So you see this charming quaint looking cottage from the outside is deceptively large inside where we can seat up to 90 people for coach tour service and 60 for dinner parties as table configuration is different for day and evening service.

The Thatch Cottage has been under the personal supervision of the Cronin Family since 2001 and since has given consistent service to both Locals and Tourists. We are proud to have ten years behind us and look forward to the next decade!

Edmund Cronin has put his experience working in Clontarf Castle Dublin, The Quay Street Wine bar Galway, Killeen House and The Whitegates Hotel in Killarney into creating a reputation for producing high quality traditional Irish food as well as signature dishes and sauces that you must try!
