Welcome to the Thatch Cottage a charming little cottage  on the Main Ring of Kerry Route just 2km from Cahersiveen town on the Killarney side and sitting opposite the famous Cnoc an Tobair Mountain with beautiful scenery, what better way to enjoy a morning or afternoon coffee, Lunch or Dinner while absorbing these peaceful surroundings.

 I sense the tension evaporating already!

Our Restaurant is divided into four sections making it very versatile for different kinds of Events or Functions. For small  weddings to the stand up informal buffet or corporate entertainment/presentations etc. The Thatch Cottage can be hired out exclusively for private parties subject to availability at no extra cost. So you see this charming quaint looking cottage from the outside is deceptively large inside where we can seat up to 100 people.

The Thatch Cottage has been under the personal supervision of the Cronin Family since 2001 and since has given consistent service to both Locals and Tourists. Our Locals are truly wonderful people as you will see for yourself on visiting us.

This family run restaurant is managed by Michael Cronin and his son Edmund who is Head Chef.
Edmund has put his experience working in Clontarf Castle Dublin, The Quay Street Wine bar Galway, Killeen House and The Whitegates Hotel in Killarney into creating a reputation for producing high quality traditional Irish food as well as signature dishes and sauces that you must try!
