The Cronin Family
The Thatch is well known for its service to Coach Tours. We have a different set up for this service than we would for evening dinner. As our visitors have only an hour or so to dine with us it is imperative that service is very efficient yet friendly. On average we would have a tour of 50 people served in 15-20 minutes giving them enough time to dine and to browse in the gift shop upstairs. We operate a counter service which is much more efficient than table service due to the time constraints that our visitors have. This has worked really well over the last ten years and the feedback we receive in terms of food and service has been excellent. We currently serve CIE, Brendan Tours, Insight Vacations, Cosmos, Trafalgar, Holiday Vacations Washington, Limerick Travel to name a few..
We are a fully licensed Restaurant, selling Wine Spirits and Beer and of course the black stuff...
We open early in the morning, so if you have a tour on the road early, and fancy some fresh ground coffee and freshly baked scones served with real butter, cream, and strawberry jam, or perhaps an Irish coffee with some homemade Apple or Rhubarb pie served with fresh cream? need we say anymore?
We operate our Coach Tour Service 7 days a week from March until Late October.
Below is a copy of our lunch menu, if you have a tour on the road early or late afternoon and just fancy light refreshments we can cater for morning/afternoon coffee & Pastry from 9am onwards just contact us for further details.
